So I finally watched “Argo” and all in all I enjoyed it! There were a few slow spots for me (particularly the scenes in Hollywood, like the reading for example), but practically every scene that takes place in Iran was great. There was great use of suspense and tension in certain scenes (like at the airport). And even though I pretty much knew the ending….not exactly, but I knew that it had to have a “happy ending”, I still found myself being nervous and wondering if they were going to make it out okay. So, well done movie.
Chris did get out. He enrolled in the college courses with me, and, although it was hard, he gutted it out like he always did. He went on to college and eventually became a lawyer.
Last week he entered a fast food restaurant. Just ahead of him, two men got into an argument—one of them pulled a knife. Chris, who had always made the best peace, tried to break it up. He was stabbed in the throat. He died almost instantly.
Although I hadn’t seen him in more than ten years, I know I’ll miss him forever.
Good God, how different (i.e. better) would the POTO movie have been if Antonio had played the role??
I LOVE his singing voice. And I actually really like the breathy quality he brings to it at times. But then he can still hit you with a strong note like at 3:28.
And I know that a Spanish phantom might not has worked out as well in a French setting, but dammit he would’ve been a sexy one!
i feel like laura osnes was that girl in school that was beautiful, smart, got good grades, and was basically perfect and you couldn’t even hate her for it because she was so fucking nice too.
Speaking as a former classmate, I can say that is 100% true!
“She is LEIA ORGANA, a rebel princess. The fear in her eyes slowly gives way to anger as the muted crushing sounds of the approaching stormtroopers grow louder. She steps from her hiding place and blasts two troopers with her laser pistol…”
