Happy 76th Birthday, Jim Henson (September 24, 1936 - May 16, 1990)
“When I was young, my ambition was to be one of the people who made a difference in this world. My hope still is to leave the world a little bit better for my having been here. It’s a wonderful life and I love it.”
Happy Birthday!!
A brilliant documentary. Watch the entire thing on Youtube! : )
I cannot control my sobs.
22 years gone….RIP
This is my all-time favorite Christmas movie. I have watched it every year for the past 24 years, since my parents taped it my for me off the tv. That tape sadly crapped out on me a couple years ago, but thatnkfully, some nice person has put it up on youtube!
Gone too soon…think of all the amazing things he could’ve created….RIP
This is one of the most incredibly moving things I’ve ever seen.
The Borders by my apartment is closing and so everything’s on sale. Went there today and bought a book about the musical Hair (to add to my collection of Broadway coffee table books ^_^) and Muppets take Manhattan. Only spent 30 bucks. Yay. : D
Then stopped at Michaels and bought the stuff I need to add to the Gypsy Robe. Cannot forget to do that project. That would be baaaaad. And here’s hoping that it works out the way I planned it.
Now, I think I’m going to watch my new movie and eat some chocolate. I could be eating chocolate gelato right now, but Fat’s was all out when I was there for lunch with my parents (happy b-day tomorrow dad!). Boo.
I am watching one of the greatest Christmas movies ever! A Muppet Family Christmas! I still have it on a VHS that my parents taped waay back in the 80’s. I need to get it burned onto DVD….
I love quoting this movie!
“I don’t care if the turkey said the dog is the turkey. The dog is not the turkey. The turkey’s the turkey, you turkey!”
And also because of this movie, I want to name my first dog Sprocket.
